If your Heavy Vehicle, Caravan or Trailer is not currently registered in Queensland (e.g. if it is registered in any state other than Queensland) or unregistered. It is a requirement to Supply a HVRAS Certificate along with a Safety Certificate to Queensland Transport at the time of registration.

HVRAS inspections are required for heavy vehicles (more than 4.5-tonne gross vehicle mass) and trailers (more than 750kg aggregate trailer mass) to ensure they comply with the following:

• dimensional limitations
• load sharing axle systems guidelines
• safe tyre limits
• have complete vehicle identifiers (for example engine number, vehicle identification number and chassis number).
